Silk Screen Clothing Mini Frame: Construct The Frame
This project will consist of making a mini silk screen frame for printing clothing labels and tags. You can use this mini frame for printing the tags that are on the inside of the garments as well for small sleeve or small chest size logos and designs.
The materials that will be used for this process are as follow:
The materials that will be used for this process are as follow:
- Miter saw
- Staple gun
- 1x2 inch wood furring strips or 2x2 inch furring strips
- Staples
- Tape Measure
- Wood glue
The pieces will be cut at a 45 degree angle so that all corners have a miter to them. After all pieces are cut you can dry fit them together to see how accurately they fit(since the frame is so small it really doesn't matter). Now at the joint of the pieces where they join together you can uses wood glue to connect them together and then staple them along the seems. Actually you can do one or the other or you can do both. I recommend both because it gives these little frame SUPER strength.
After the glue has had time to dry then you are ready for the next step: Silk Screen Clothing Mini Frame: Stretching The Mesh.
