This project will consist of making a mini silk screen frame for printing clothing labels and tags.  You can use this mini frame for printing the tags that are on the inside of the garments as well for small sleeve or small chest size logos and designs.

The materials that will be used for this process are as follow:
To begin we will set the miter saw to a 45 degree angle.  The screen will have an inside diameter of about 4x6 inches.  This will allow a 3M Hand Applicator Squeegee to be used to apply the ink once the mini silk screen is completed.  So you will need to measure your two longest pieces at 9 inches and your shortest two side pieces at 7 inches.  The reason for this is that the furring strips are sold as 2 inch wide pieces but are actually 1.5 inches wide and you need to at 1.5 to each end which gives you 3 extra inches for your outside diameter.

The pieces will be cut at a 45 degree angle so that all corners have a miter to them.  After all pieces are cut you can dry fit them together to see how accurately they fit(since the frame is so small it really doesn't matter).  Now at the joint of the pieces where they join together you can uses wood glue to connect them together and then staple them along the seems.  Actually you can do one or the other or you can do both.  I recommend both because it gives these little frame SUPER strength.

After the glue has had time to dry then you are ready for the next step: Silk Screen Clothing Mini Frame: Stretching The Mesh.
